Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at the age of 75. Devoted husband of Lorraine for 54 years. Loving father of Jim (Donna), Elizabeth (Larry), Perry (Martha) and Norma (Tom). Very proud “Grampy” of Michael and Alison Bodnar, Sarah (Craig) Spencer, Marcus Wilson, Evan Gomes, Ben and Becky Ehret, Clint and Coralee Lahey. Brother of Doris Stratton (late Hugh) and Jim Wilson (Mary). Brother-in-law of Theo Boucher and Carmelle Kuyek (late Bill). Predeceased by his parents Helen and Robert and in-laws Perp and Omer Boucher, brothers Bob (Margaret), David, sisters Anne Porhybunk (John) and Jean Nash (Bill). Alan retired from the ACR after 46 years of service to take on his new role as Mom’s caregiver, which he fulfilled admirably for the past 15 years. Out of respect for Alan’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Donations in his memory can be made to the Group Health Centre Trust Fund.
