(Oct. 20,1928 - Sept. 3, 2011) Passed away peacefully in the arms of his family after a courageous battle with Alzheimers, Herbert George Williams in his 83rd year. Herb was born and raised in Quibell Ont., and moved to Wawa with his family in 1963. Herb will forever be remembered by his companion and best friend of 25 years, Dorothy Mosco and his devoted children Charlene Williams (Sandy), Gwen Johnson (Lloyd), Glen Williams (Theresa), Joanne Kolo, Barry Williams (Liz) and the late Brian Williams. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and family, whom were blessed to know him. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie Maud and Cyrus Williams (Kate) and his siblings, Helen, Dibs (Cammy), Mary (Ross) and Bob (Ivy)Herb loved the outdoors, laughing, travelling, telling a good joke and of course being with his family. Herb was very passionate about his volunteer work, CNIB and as a proud and longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lions Club, Wawa Golf Club and the Masonic Lodge.
He touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his trademark sense of humour all the way to the end. Special thanks to the F. J. Davey Home 3rd floor. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 429, Wawa, Thursday September 8, 2011, for a time of gathering at 1:00P.M. followed by a service at 1:30P.M.
