White

October 4, 1973 - August 10, 2018 - It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Paul White, in Toronto on August 10, 2018. Paul was the devoted youngest son of Barbara and the late Rev. Donald White. Loving brother of Malcolm (Donna) and Peter (Kim). Much loved uncle of Kristen (Ryan), Alicia (Shane), Joshua (Kelsey), Matthew and James. Paul had many dear friends whose friendships he cherished, especially his Willowgrove family. Paul will always be remembered for his vast array of interests and talents. He was a member of the Western University rowing team and enjoyed skiing, swimming, camping, canoeing, cooking and reading. Paul was also a talented vocalist, musician and performer, most recently as a section leader of the Toronto Choral Society. He never ceased to amaze us with his endeavours, which included performing in Opera Atelier. Paul was also an animated and much loved teacher at Gibson and Thornhill Public Schools in Toronto. An avid animal lover (especially cats), Paul joins his beloved furry buddy, Marlin. Paul had a sweet soul and he went out of his way to share a kind, friendly word or gesture with those he encountered on a daily basis. He loved to laugh and have fun and he especially enjoyed visiting and sharing many laughs and memories at a recent White Family reunion. Paul lived large and loved large and we are comforted to know that he is joining his dear father, with whom he spent much time on endless outings and adventures. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Funeral service on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Willowgrove United Church at 11 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to Willowgrove United Church, the Brain Injury Association of Sault Ste. Marie, or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.  Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com
