Whalen, Mr John M. “Jack”

Suddenly at the Thessalon Hospital with his family by his side on Sunday June 30, 2013.  Jack Whalen in his 71_^st year, beloved husband of Mary ( Archibald ) for 48 years.  Loving father of Michael (Trina) of Thessalon, John (Shelley) of Sudbury, Colin of Sowerby and Lisa (Tom) of Thessalon and the late Richard.  Special Grumpy Grandpa to Derrick, Darwyn, Justin, Lynn, Tasha, Michael, Samantha, Joshua, Aliyah, Jada, Chelsey, Kassandra, Dylan and great grandchildren.  Dear son of the late William (Bill) and Kathleen Whelan of Timmins.  Dear brother of Helen, Ken, Mary, David, Ron, Rita, Shirley, Sheila and the late Kevin and Bill.  Dear brother-in-law to Richard Archibald, Beverly Kilburn and Glen Wilson.  Dearly loved and missed by many nieces and nephews and countless friends.  Cremation has taken place.  At Jack’s request there will be no services at this time.  A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.  Donations to the Lung Association gratefully accepted.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon, Ontario.  www.beggsfh.com
