It is with heavy hearts the family of Joyce West announce her passing away at the F.J. Davey Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at the age of 90.
Survived by her children George (Colleen), Debbie (Fraser), Michael (Janice) and Mark (Heather). Grandchildren Jamie, Nadine, Kristin, Ryan, Malarie, Paul, Andrew and Murray. Siblings Lynne Moore and Alan Moore. Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Alice Moore, siblings Ruth Dufresne (Lawrence), Lois Avery (Bob), Arlene Paquette (Terry), Jacqueline McCullouch (Don) and Carol King (Keith).
Very special long-time friends include Larry Vincent, Linda Maltais, Marg Nelder and Norma Sherback.
Mom was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie. She lived in many towns throughout northern and southern Ontario while working as a civilian radio dispatcher with the Ontario Provincial Police in a job that she felt very passionate about.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Joyce's life at 11 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the chapel at Greenwood Cemetery (27 Fourth Line East, corner of Fourth Line and Peoples Road). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations payable by cheque or online to the F.J. Davey Home or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
