Peacefully at the Van Daele Manor, surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 26, 2003 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Blanche Wellwood. Loving father of Joan McMahon (Andy), Donald Specht (Mary), Carol Routenburg (Bev), Barbara Terry (Clarence), John (Karen), Wayne Specht (Brenda), Wendy Pigeon (Mike Sr.), Terry Specht (Sandra), Dick (Cathy), Bobby (Kathy), Lauri Hayes (John), Bev Specht and predeceased by Jake Specht (Velma) and Wanda Ross (Lane). Harvey will be sadly missed by his 40 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Harvey was predeceased by his grandchildren Lane Morris, Richard Wellwood and Rhonda Ross. Brother of Percy Cook (Gloria), Neil Cook (Carol), Wayne Cook (Ellen), Pat Kaufmann (Ken), Norma MacDonald (John) and predeceased by Les Cook (Lily May) and John Cook. Harvey will also be sadly missed by his dear friends Stan and Heather McLeod. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, October 30, 2003 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, October 31, 2003 at 1 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Richard Wellwood Memorial Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Spinal Cord Research. The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor at the Van Daele Manor for their excellent care.
Members of the Masonic Lodge are requested to assemble at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday evening at 6:15 for a memorial service for the late Harvey Wellwood.
