WASTILA, Norman Carl

With broken hearts, we sadly announce the passing of Norman Carl Wastila at the age of 64.  He was a great role model as a father and grandfather.  He was a gentle strong man and very devoted to his family and friends.  His legacy of hard work and love for the outdoors lives on in his family.  He was predeceased by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife Susan (nee McGuigan), mother Tuula Turunen, father Reino Wastila, step-father Vic Turunen and brother Dennis Wastila.  He leaves behind his soulmate and best friend, Beth Grant, his four daughters Kerri (Ben) Rochon, Sheryl (Jason) Belisle, Melanie (Eric) Doidge,Vanessa (Barry) Courtemanche, as well as his 13 treasured grandchildren, mother-in-law Dora McGuigan and his sister Lynn Makynen.  He will be sadly missed by countless family and friends who were all blessed to know him.  A memorial service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste.
