Hazel Ward passed away peacefully at Extendicare Van Daele Nursing Home on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late William Ward. Dear mother of Jim (Marg) and Barb Mertes (Don). Loving grandmother of Susan Ward, Melinda Ritacco (Mel), Amy Hansen(Eric) and Elaine Uhryn (friend Joe DeRosario), Proud great grandmother of Leah Ritacco, Emma Hansen, Bryson Petingola and Jack Hansen. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road, 945-7758) on Saturday, August 31 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Donevan officiating. Internment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions made to the Van Daele Resident's Council would be appreciated by the family.
