Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Loving wife of William “Bill”. Proud mother of Jackie Slawson, Gerry Blake, Dwayne Sweezey (Dawn), Ramona Waye, Cheryl Sweezey (Duane) and Waide Sweezey (Carol). Stepmother of Patty Smith, (late) Charlotte Smith and Jason Smith (Kathleen). Predeceased by her loving parents Michael and Mona Scarfone. Cherished sister of Ken Scarfone (late Sheila), Sharon Quinn-Scarfone (Tom) and Michael (MJ) Scarfone (Heather). Dear friend and sister-in-law of Mary Wallace and the late Marlene Simon. Jean will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a heart of gold and so much love for everyone. She enjoyed being outdoors, campfires and gardening. She loved to knit and crochet creating one-of-a-kind afghans as keepsakes. Jean remained positive no matter the circumstance she was facing. She fought a good fight, right to the end. In keeping with Jean’s wishes there will be no visitation or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to ARCH or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank all the ER and 3B staff at the Sault Area Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to Jean during her time there.
