VUORIMIES, Hilkka (nee Yla-Kotola)

A long-time resident of Sault Ste. Marie, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Vaino Vuorimies. Hilkka was born in Sakkijarvi, Finland and went to live in Montreal in 1927. Later she moved to Sault Ste. Marie and became an active member of the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association. She is survived by her niece Kyllikki Laine (Aulis) of Sudbury, nephew Atte Ylakotola (Graye Ann) of Miami and other relatives and friends in Canada, United States and Finland. Friends may call at the Ontario Finnish Resthome, (721 North Street) on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 12 pm until time of service at 1 pm. Rev. Raija Perttula officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations in Hilkka’s memory to be directed to the OFRH Association or to St. Mary’s Lutheran Church.

We all will miss Hilkka forever.
