December 26, 2008; Caterina Vavala at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Vavala. Dear mother of Ralph Vavala (Enza), Tony Vavala (Teresa) and Nancy Hatchard (Donald). Loving nonna of Paul Filice (Rose),
Jimmy Filice (Michelle), Vince Vavala (Alison), Francesco Vavala (Stacey), Cathy Vavala (Dave) and Serafina Vavala (Jason). Great nonna of Michael, Nicholas and Sienna. Daughter of the late Antonio and Caterina Fera. Sister of Marianna Rappazzo (Francesco), late Pietro Fera (Maria), late Francesco Fera (Carmela), late Nicola Fera (late Vincinza), late Grazia Cortese (late Nicola) and the late Maria Macri (late Liberato). Caterina will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at
the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday December 30, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Entombment at the
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the F.J. Davey Home or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
