September 23 1964 - June 17 2022

Audrey passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Todd Vary as well as their children and grandchildren. Jake & Kim Vary (Sophie, Jurgen & Callaghan) Riley Vary & Hope Brill-Vary (Otto & Sybil), Yvonne Vary (the late Tyler Vary's daughter) and Emma (nee Vary) & Eric Hillman (Ellie, Seth & Ivy); her father Lorne Diebel; siblings Cindy (Brian), Jan (Andy), Mike (Amy), Leona (Glen) and Lorne (Debbie) and numerous other family members.

Audrey was a force to be reckoned with. Her presence was noted anywhere she went. She fiercely loved her family, the gospel of Jesus Christ and all those struggling or in need. Service was a value she led her life by. Audrey's compassionate demeanor assisted her in her career as a Educational Assistant working in the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Her love for children, especially those with special needs, was felt by all. Her many years spent as a stay-at-home mother previous to that provided her with what she referred to as her "dream job". Her four children, three children in-law (which she would have just lumped together and referred to as her seven children) and nine grandchildren provided her so much joy in this life. Her husband Todd of 32 years was, and still is, her eternal companion. Thanks to the gospel and temple sealings, we know families will be together forever. Todd provided for Audrey in sickness and in health until she took her last breath, after a lifetime full of endless health complications and many trials. Through it all, Audrey remained a beacon of light to those around her and provided respite - even when she was the one who may have needed it herself. Two services will be held in honour of Audrey. The first will be in Brooks, Alberta at the LDS Chapel on June 25th at 2:00 pm. A zoom link will be provided to all interested in this service that are unable to attend physically. All are welcome. The second will be in St. Thomas, Ontario at the LDS Chapel. July 23rd at 2:00pm, followed by her burial at Union Cemetery. All welcome to attend.
