VanHoek, Frederick Norman

Left us to be with his beloved Nonie on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 at the age of 84 years. The ache in our hearts is small compared to the pain he endured since his wife Leonora's passing just a few months ago. Poppa will be deeply missed by his son Norm (Pauline), his daughter Barbara Walker, his grandchildren Jeremy (Jenna), Matthew (Jenny), Marnie (Sandy), Mandy (Andy) and his good friend Doug Walker. Two great grandchildren Kaleigh Cliffe and Caleb Walker will grow up knowing Poppa's love. Fred's sisters Dorothy and Pat and his late brother John will miss their brothers' stories of his years overseas during the war. He will be fondly remembered by his many neices and nephews. Friends and family may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association-Sault Ste. Marie or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
