Peacefully at Tendercare Nursing Home on Thursday July 30, 2009. Catherine Anna (Toos) Van Riel (nee Pieterse) in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Johanneus (John ) Theodorus Van Riel. Catherine was born and raised in the Netherlands, She was the eldest of 14 children. In 1956 she came to Canada and took up residence in Sault Ste. Marie. In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
