It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of Albert “Bert” Valiquette at his home in his 84th year with family by his side. Beloved husband of 63 years of Germaine Valiquette (nee Moise). Loving father of Rachelle (Neil) Doherty, Maurice (Norma) Valiquette, Paul (Lyne) Valiquette, Yvon (Nikki) Valiquette and Yvonne (late Dan) Deighton. Dear son of late Madeline and late step father James Burton Sr. Predeceased by sister Leontine, brother Bill and Yvan, step sisters Carol and Sandra. Survived by brother Clinton and Rodolphe. He will be fondly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Albert was a talented musician. He played guitar, mandolin, harmonica and piano. He was an avid fisherman who loved camping, gardening and the outdoors. But most of all, he loved his family gatherings.
The family would like to thank Bayshore nurse Carla and Christine from CCAC. The family would also like to thank Dr Mark Deverell for all the care, compassion and kindness from day one. The family is truly grateful!
The family will hold a private service at a later date. No service or visitation will be held.
