It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Turner on Friday, August 21, 2020.
Loving and caring Partner to Tony Depetrillo. Adored daughter of Jeanne and the late Bill. Devoted mother and stepmom to Stevi Miller, Ryan Miller (Shannon), Jessy Depetrillo (Courtney), and Brandon Depetrillo (Emma). Spoiling Gramma to Lanie and Liam. Best friend and sister of Sandra. She will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, the Camlachie Clan, and dear friends. Karen was a beloved educational assistant and will be missed by her students and fellow teaching staff.
Karen was kind, genuine, and always present with those around her. Karen was a kid at heart and enjoyed living life to the fullest - whether it was tropical vacations, road trips, holidays, concerts, and time with friends. Karen always had a beautiful smile on her face, a zest for life, and lived for her family and friends. Her grandbabies were her everything.
The family would like to thank all of the caring doctors and staff at the Sudbury and Ottawa hospitals, the compassionate staff at ARCH, the friendly community nurses, and the anonymous stem cell donor for giving us another year of life.
A come and go of close friends and family to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 78 Idaho from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada is appreciated by the family.
