TURNER, Carol Ann (Donovan)

On Wednesday, September 28, 2011 after a lengthy illness and a long hard fight, Carol has joined her son Robbie to be with the angels. Loving mother of Monty Boyle (Jackie). Grandma to Michael Bryant (Samantha Donofrio) and Great Grandma to Jason Bryant. Carol will be deeply missed by her step-daughter Melanie Turner and step-son Richard Turner. Predeceased by her parents Julia Mae and Roy Donovan, sister Paulette Hamlin and brother Bobby Donovan. She is survived by her brothers Jim Donovan (Barb) and John Donovan (Carolyn) and her sister Jo Ann DiMichele (Frank). Carol is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Much thanks to the nurses, PSW’s and staff at the Great Northern Nursing Center and the wonderful nurses, doctors and counsellor Maureen at SAH. Carol (which means a joyful noise unto the lord), was an avid artist, who believed life was a blank canvas that with a splash of love and a stroke of kindness for her fellow man she could change the future of someone’s angst and despair and turn it into hope and peace. In keeping with Carol’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are invited to come and pay their respects to her memory at 68 Talon Drive, Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, October 1, 2011 between 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
