It is with deep regret that Warren’s family announces his peaceful and dignified passing at the Sault Area Hospital in his 78th year on Friday, February 16, 2018, with family by his side. A devoted husband and family man Warren is survived by his wife Elvi (nee Jalak) of 55 years, son Erik, daughter Brenda Tier (Peter Kastendieck), granddaughter Ashley Perron (Paul). Cherished great-grandson Oakley Warren Perron will carry your name with pride. Predeceased by his brother Peter (Leila), Warren is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews of the Thureson, Jalak and Meerits families as well as his Thureson cousins Steen, Anne, June, and Lee. A private family service will be held at a later date. Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Skelton and Emergency Room staff, Dr. Kucher, Dr. Bowen, Dr. Buehner, Dr. Gravelle, and nursing staff of 3A for their care and compassion during a difficult time. Memorial donations to the SAH Complex Care Unit or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated.
