Died unexpectedly on Monday January 29, 2007 at the age of 77 years with his family by his side at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Kathy (nee Lato) and Sarah Oicle. Cherished father of Linda Pastushak (Jim), Mark Thorburn Jr. (Linda), Frank Thorburn (Lori), Don Thorburn (Line) and Raymond Thorburn (Grace). Dear Papa of Aaron, Adam and Heather Pastushak, Christopher, Joseph, Mark, Kathleen, Melanie, Jason, Trevor, Jennifer, Ryan, Brett and RaeAnn Thorburn. Son of the late Grace and Gilbert Thorburn. Brother of Murray, David, Charles and the late; Claude, Ralph, Barbara, Francis, Harry, Doris and Douglas. Son-in-law of the late Frank and Linda Lato. Brother-in-law of Reno Lato (Eileen) and the late Don Lato (Stella). He will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday February 1, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association or to the S.A.H. Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.
