Suddenly at home on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the young age of 72. Beloved husband of Patricia. Devoted father of Melanie Hiltz (Corey) and Coreen Thompson (Mike Avilla). Special grandfather of Cassandra Hiltz, Brayden Bernard Hiltz and Jayda Avilla. Survived by his sister Buelah Wilson (late Al). Brother in law to Diana Thompson (late Edward), Rene Cater (late Jack) and Bernice Rathwell (late Ken). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Bernie was a member of many organizations including 20 years with the Sault Safety Patrol and an honourary member of the Kinsmen Club. Friends may call at the Barton & Kiteley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 1 pm until time of service in the chapel at 3 pm. Pastor Kim Meyering officiating.
