Peacefully at the FJ Davey Home on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Doris. Loving father of Rob (Kelly) and predeceased by Janice Ball (Rick) and Stephen (Tammy). Grandfather of Steven Ball, Chris Myers, Kevin Myers, Emily Nethery and predeceased by Frank Ball, Natasha Thomas and Shannon Thomas. Jack is predeceased by his brothers Lawrence Thomas (Betty) and Alvin Thomas (Mary). Jack will be sadly missed by his nephew Tom Wall (Sharon) and by other family members and friends. Dad proudly served aboard the HMCS K165 Battleford during the Second World War. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 11 am until 1 pm. At Jack’s request there will be no funeral service. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the Elk’s Lodge #341 would be appreciated by the family.
