One day prior to her 93rd birthday, Marjatta Anna Tekoniemi peacefully passed away on Monday, December 27th, 2021, at the Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
Anna is predeceased by her husband, Armas and her grandson, Luukas. Survived by her children, Al (Cathy), Jorma (Janet), Marita (Curtis), and Eric (Säde-Lea), her grandchildren, Kevin, and Christopher (Jenn), her great-granddaughters Lilly and Nora and her sister, Kaarina in Sweden, as well as numerous family members and friends in Finland.
The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff of the 3rd floor of the Sault Area Hospital for the short time she was there, as well as a special thank you to Helinä McGrath (daughter-in-law), for the care and comfort provided during her last days.
A memorial service for Anna will take place at a later date in 2022.
