Born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, on May 4, 1953. Ed passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday March 5, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife Elaine of 48 years, his children Kevin (Toia) of Belle Fourche, SD, Rhonda (Ben) Bunn of Delano, MN, Scott (Joanie) of Sault Ste Marie, Lynette (Thor) Wilen of Sault Ste Marie, Rodney (Keri) of Sault Ste Marie, Mark (Ashley) of Montrose, MN and Steven (Mary) of Amboy, WA, 46 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his many brothers and sisters along with his nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of Christian friends.
Ed spent most of his life living in the Soo area, with years spent in Minnesota and South Dakota. He was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. He led his family through example and held fast to his faith. Ed suffered many health issues throughout the years and is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church (742 3rd Line East) on Friday March 8, 2024, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00am. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery to follow.
