SZCYREK, Walter (Walt) Henry

At his home, with family and friends at his side, on Saturday October 28, 2006. Walter (Walt) Szcyrek in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Carol Szcyrek and loving father of Norman (Dana) and dear grandfather of Samantha (Sammi) and Brendan. Son of Bertha and the late Walter Szcyrek and brother of Jeanette (Jen) Stewart (Late Frank), Marie St. Jacques (Peter) and Edward Szcyrek (Fay). Son in law to Huldah (Hud) Merrick and the late Frank Merrick and James Shepley. Brother in law to Edythe and the late Fred O’Hara and Nina and Ken Kilby. Fishing Buddy and close friend of Don and Kathy. Walt will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home, corner of Cathcart and St James Sts Wednesday November 1st from 6-9pm. Funeral and committal services in the chapel Thursday November 2nd at 1pm with Rev. Don White officiating. Donations to the Elks Oncology Van would be appreciated. The Szcyrek family would like to express their gratitude to Drs. Wacker, Spadafora, Buehner and Fratesi, Carol, Comcare Angels, Dawn, Lisa, Karen and Karen, the special caring angels of the cancer clinic who provided smiles, hugs and encouragement to both of us and our two close neighbours Ali and Raija, for the support and compassion shown to us during Walt’s illness.
