Calvin Ross Sullivan passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 27, 2003 in his 77th year. Loving husband of Marjorie. Dear father of William (Susan) of Ottawa, Patricia and James. Loving grandfather of Michael, Matthew and Christine. Brother of Elizabeth (Harold) and Muriel. Predeceased by his brothers Elgin, Cecil, Leonard, Harold, Arnold and sister Irene. Brother-in-law of Ida Cliff, Mary McEwen, William (June) McEwen and Ruth Sullivan. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Calvin was a member of the 432 R.C.A.F. Algoma Wing; President in 1965 of the local branch of the Red Cross Society, Campaign Chairman in 1978 of Algoma Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society, Research Scientist and Program Manager for 38 years at the Great Lakes Forest Research Centre and a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Conservation Authority for many years. Calvin felt great affection for his friends who supported him through his illness. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, March 31 from 2:30 p.m. until time of funeral in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Mrs. Joy McPhee officiating. Memorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospital Cardiac Monitors or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
