STRACHAN, WENDY ANN

On Sunday, January 27th, 2013, in her 57th year, Wendy’s courageous battle with cancer ended peacefully while surrounded by her family. Loving Mum of Tammy (Ed) Warick, Tracy (Darin) Brandow, and Crystal Strachan. Cherished Grama to Aaron, Nicole, Lennon and Zackary. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Ruby Phillips. Wendy was sister to Judy (Ray) Lewis, Lee Phillips, the late Ron Phillips, Betty (Randy) Carroll, and Ingrid (Rick) Lacrosse. Many nieces and nephews will fondly remember Auntie Wendy and her traditions will be devotedly carried on. Friends may call at East Korah Maxwell United Church, 4 Fourth Line East, Saturday, February 2, 2013. From 1 pm until time of Memorial at 3 pm. The family would like to thank We Care, Bay Shore, and Sault Area Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thank you to the staff at Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) for making Mum’s final days peaceful and allowing us to be a family. Thank you to her friends and coworkers at AJ Bus Lines for their continued support. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Shirley Basset for traveling from Ottawa to be with her friend in her time of need.
