Peacefully passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Hilda (deceased). Loving father of Bob (deceased), Herb (Anne), Tom and Lionel (Norma). Cherished grandfather of Amy, Luke, Robert (deceased), Matthew, Kate, Paula, Megan, Brittany and Annmarie. Dear brother of Ann (late Leo), Dorothy (late George), Helen (late Fred), Marj (late Bud) and Elsie (late Stuart). John is survived by many nieces and nephews. At John's request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758).
