April 13, 1933-October 5, 2009 - Passed away suddenly at the Sault Area Hospital. Son of the late George and Ellen Speers (Rowlinson). Beloved husband of Barbara Jean (Ryckman). Much loved father of Audrey Maki (Brian), Sheila Hamilton (Tom), April Weaver (Tom), Bill Jr. (Tammy) and predeceased by his son George (1977). Sadly missed Papa of Wendy, Tyler (Kara), Ben (Emily), Robin (George), Thomas (Shawna), Joshua (Crystal), Patrick, Tommy, Mark, Maizie, Zeth and Jonah. Great Papa of Jarrett, Gage, Bryant, Chloe, Hunter and Konner. Brother of Violet (late Gil), Jack, Garnet (Ann), Jean (Bill), Shirley (Cliff), Margaret (Ed), Ellen, Betty, Donald (Rosemary) and the late Bob (Georgina). Brother-in-law of Angus (Mary), Stan, late Ann (late Doc), late Danny and the late Mary. Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2 pm. Mr. George Wright officiating. Following the service you are invited to join the family downstairs for time of Fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Algoma District Cancer Program or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
