Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 67 years to Catherine. Loving father of Linda Elliott (Bryan Ross) and Ken (Joan). Proud grandfather of Adam Grandmont (Daniella) of Rochester, NY, Ben Grandmont (Meredith), Conor Elliott (Rachel), Troy Elliott (Kate) all of London, ON, Tyler Spahr, Cody Spahr (Ashley) of Sault Ste. Marie; great-grandfather of Ava Grandmont, Liam Grandmont, Isla Elliott and Vivian Elliott. Dear brother of late Shirley Godson (Hartley), Jack Kelly (Chris), Margaret Cowan (late Bob), Bill Kelly (late Mary) and late Grace Kelly. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Staff at the Sault Area Hospital for making Roy's stay there as comfortable as possible and listening daily to his stories about Island Lake, Barbados and Mannesman Tube Mill. A heart felt thank you to Dr. Mogharrabi for his years of friendship and dedicated care and compassion. A graveside service will be held at St. Luke's Cathedral Columbarium at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
