Beloved son of Joseph and Alison Soltys. Dearest brother of Adam, Alanna Cobb (Scott), and Shannon Ryan (Dave). Special uncle to Milla, Dylan, Tyson, Alice, Grace and Owen. Cherished by his grandmother Alice Mullin (late Patrick) and his late Babcia and Jadge, Henry and Anna Soltys. He will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Neil was born in Sault Ste. Marie and enjoyed a life of travel. He was an avid reader especially of non-fiction books, a watcher of documentaries and a collector of all things Star Wars. Neil was a diehard Leafs fan and supported all the Detroit sports team franchises. Always rooted for the underdog. His knowledge of statistics and trivia made conversations with Neil interesting and memorable. Neil was a talented guitar player and loved music. He will be especially missed by his best bud Owen with whom he shared a special bond and they enjoyed many chats together.
Neil, “May the force be with you!” There will be no service, but a Mass will be dedicated to him. Cremation to take place and a celebration of life is planned in Sault Ste. Marie in the fall of 2022.
