Peacefully at Algoma Manor, Thessalon on Friday, December 24, 2004. Bill Smith of Thessalon in his 94th year, husband of the late Elsie Smith. Loving father of Sallie (Milt) Showan of Spanish. Devoted grandfather of Todd (Cherie) Showan of Thessalon and Brooke (Derek) Allen of McKinney, Texas and great grandfather to William and Ty Showan and Alexis Allen. Bill and Elsie operated the Outpost Lodge north of Thessalon from 1959 to 1972. Resting at the Beggs Funeral Home Thessalon where friends may call on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 from 7:15 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday, December 29 at 10:00 o'clock. Spring interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations to the Masonic Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice gratefully accepted. Special thanks to the staff of Algoma Manor and the Thessalon Hospital for the excellent care that Bill received. The family would also like to express their gratitude for the camaraderie and friendship that Bill experienced at the Livingstone Creek Golf Course.
