Passed away on November 9, 2020 in Ottawa, Ontario. Cecilia was born in 1940 in Blind River, Ontario to Lloyd Ritchie and Irene Beatrice Gunn (Ritchie). Cecilia was a loving wife to the late Harold Ray Smith and mother to Lauri, Donna (Jean Bazinet), and the late Tammy Sue. She was also the beloved “Nanny” of Mitchell, Reanna and Ashton. Cecilia is survived by many siblings, close to her heart, Susie and Deanna, and was the much loved “Auntie Cec” to several nieces and nephews. She was also the special “Lady Cece” to Ella and best friend of 45 years to Miche. Over the years she formed many strong friendships in Sault Ste. Marie, Ottawa and in her community in Kissimmee, Florida. Cecilia loved Country music, gardening, being a Brownie leader and participating in her Church including sewing gowns for the choir. She was devoted to her family and was happy to lend her strength to those in need or who were struggling. In her daily life she conducted herself with kindness, grace and humour and was an important and memorable person in the lives of so many. She will be sadly missed.
