Peacefully at home on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Frances (Pat) for 63 years. Dear father of Linda Astley (Eric) and Barry Sims (Debbie). Proudest papa of Shelley Pastorek, Joel Edwards (Jill), Andrew Edwards, Brittany Sims and Jordan Sims. Brother of the late Audis Sims, late June Vachon (late Don), late William Sims, late Edith Montambo (Tom), Etheleen Grose (late Reg) and Dalton Sims (Sharon). Brother-in-law of Jim Ashby (Janet) and Sandra Dempsey (Jim). Henry will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Henry was a skilled carpenter, founder of Sims Custom Woodworking Inc. more than 50 years ago. After many years of mentoring he has finally retired.
