We regret to announce the sudden passing of Emily Simons on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the age of 88. Devoted wife of the late Hugh Simons. Mother of Gail (Joe) Majkut and Beverley Simons. Grandmother of David, Kevin, and Ryan Majkut. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Emily was a treasure and a joy. Her loving kindness far exceeded her great big heart. A celebration of her life will be held at the St. Joseph Island Free Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011. Special thanks to the staff of the Critical Care and Palliative Care Units of the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations may be made to the CNIB or the charity of your choice.
