Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital (Plummer). Surrounded by her family on Tuesday march 6, 2007. Monica Mary Shami in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Paul Shami Sr. and loving mother of Donna Farrow (Rick) and Paul Shami Jr.. Grandmother of Monica and Andrew Schmitt. Sister of Webb (late Nancy), Alfred (Dorothy) and Frank (Ann) McAuley, Abigail Boucher (Late Larry) and Theresa Lavergne (late Lee) and the late Margaret Piccolo (late Leonard), late Mary Lucas (John) and the late Rita Roby. Monica is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Monica worked as a nurse at both the General and Plummer hospitals as well as acting as a private duty nurse. Friends may call at O'Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts, Friday March 9th from 6-9pm. Funeral Mass Saturday March 10th at St Gregory's Church, Estelle St at 10 am. with Msgr Victor Amadio officiating. Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
