Passed away peacefully with his loving wife’s arms around him on December 3, 2020 at the age of 77. Survived by his loving wife Lorraine. Loving father of Todd (Kristine) Service and Laurie (Kip) DiFilippo. Special grandfather of Skylar (Chantelle), Devin (Riley), Kieran and Joel. Adoring great grandfather of Jack and Kaiden. Son of the late Bert and Eileen Service, and son in law of the late Lawrence and Ida Mavretic. Brother of the late Ralph Service, Dorell (late Mike Cirka), Barbra (late Leo) Wierizibicki, late Joan (Jack) Williams, late Pat (Sharon) Service, late Ricky (Rose) Service and Albert (Myra) Service. Brother in law of Anthony (Janice) Mavretic, Marie (late Carl) Mills and Larry (Bonnie) Mavretic. Special uncle to many, who he loved very much. Due to COVID, cremation and a private service with immediate family will be held. Thank you to all the health care and community providers for the outstanding care given to Robert. A special thank you to Dr. David Fera for going above and beyond always. Robert was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He always had a smile as large as life. Robert had a heart of gold. Those who knew him were blessed with his presence. He will live on in his family and friends forever. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
