Unexpectedly at Sault Area Hospital on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the age of 57. Shelly was welcomed into Heaven by her mother.

Dearly loved daughter of  Albert Senecal (Lorraine)  and late Gail Chlebus (late Dan).  Loved sister of Frank Senecal (Nella) and  loving step sister of Christine Chlebus (Kirk), Dan Chlebus (Natalie) and Lisa Chlebus, Sean Morettin and late Matthew Morettin, Susan (Sandie) Colasacco and Sean (Sheila) Discher.  Proud Aunt of Justin, Zachary, Caitlin, Aaron, Melissa and Bailey.  Niece of the late Wilfred (late Marilyn) Senecal, Frank (Agnes) Senecal, June (late Chester) Beaton, Dave Turco, John Turco, late Donna (Jorma) Ryyppo, Ed (Rhonda) Turco, Larry (Toni) Turco. Lovingly remembered by many cousins and friends and co-workers.

Shelly was a strong and independent woman who lived her life on her own terms and she touched many lives along the way.  Her passion for helping others and sharing her faith motivated her to complete mission trips to both Ecuador and Cuba.  As a foster mom she provided a caring and loving home to many individuals in need.  In the community and following in her mother’s footsteps, Shelly volunteered with Victims Services of Algoma.  During her free time, if she wasn’t knitting or popping by for a visit with friends and family, she continued to give of herself by running Bible School programs for children, and supporting Special Olympics and various charities in the community.  She was an avid Greyhound hockey fan and enjoyed cheering on her hounds.  She loved spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing at Eton and the Mackinnon Deer camp. Shelly was an active and involved member of Bethel Bible Chapel and as a woman of strong faith, we know that God has welcomed her with open arms into Heaven.  Her sense of humour and outlook on life will be missed by the many lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Shelly on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Dirt Road, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario), followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. Mr. Len Peake officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to Bethel Bible Chapel, Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Senecal family.
