Passed away peacefully after a long illness, with her family at her side, at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, Windsor, Ontario . Beloved wife of the late John Joseph Seitz (1966). Loving mother of Lang, Mary Clare, the late Betty Anne Quinlan (2003) (Pat) and Janet Zuliani ( Doug). Dear grandmother of Jeff, Chris, Clare, Jocelyn, Danny, David and Sean. Dear sister of Teresa Cudmore (late husband Royce). Predeceased by her brother Larry Rooney (Ann) and sisters Elizabeth 'Liz' and Anne Rabeau (late Ernie). Sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Clare worked as an R.N. for many years at the Sault General Hospital. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League at St. Veronica's Church in her younger years and a member at Our Lady of Good Council CWL for 25 years. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario 705-945-7758) on Monday, March 24, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (114 MacDonald Ave, Sault Ste. Marie) at 1:00 p.m. with Father Michael Williams officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital - Cancer Care Fund or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to Evelyn Delisle for her loving and compassionate care of our mother for the past few years. Thanks also to all the staff at Extendicare Southwood Lakes, especially the Walkerville, St. Clair and activities units for their professional and compassionate outreach to Clare and her family. A very special gratitude is extended to the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, most of whom now reside at the Devonshire Seniors Residence for their support and patience with Clare when she was a resident at their former home at the Holy Names Residence. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Family First Funeral Home in Windsor and to Northwood Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie.
