Survived by his loving and caring wife Maureen, which would have been 55 years together on the 28th. Father to Ryan (Eavan O’Connor). Grandfather and loved Papa of Aideen and Lucia. This was evident when his face would light up when in their presence.

Uncle to many nieces and nephews; Kevin, David, Derek, Stephanie, David, Paul, Kevin, Delina, Jo-Anne and Cheryl.

Gary was born in Thunder Bay and was proud of his Indigenous heritage. When Gary moved and settled in the Sault, he was employed by DJ Kelly Restaurant and Supplies and was later a Sales Rep for Johnson Diversey. During his years, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing tennis with his buddy Dave. He loved hockey and attended many Greyhound games and in his younger years refereed the young hockey players at the Soo Pee Wee Arena. Gary enjoyed many trips with friends and family across Canada, USA, and Europe. He enjoyed music, especially the tunes of Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley and at times we could hear him singing their tunes.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff on Apple Orchard 2 at the F.J. Davey Home who took great care of Gary. Thank you to the girls at VON. Thank you to all our good friends and family for their support and care during this time.
