Passed away peacefully after a strong battle against kidney cancer at the age of 54. He is much loved and missed by his son Philip, his parents Walter and Beatrice, and his siblings Rene (Lorraine), Karolina (Mark Dick), Michael (Christine) and Kristine (Popeye). Remembered by his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In respecting Walter’s wishes a private family service will take place. A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at the Moose Lodge on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm. The benefit that has been scheduled for Walter on October 1, 2011 will still take place with the proceeds going to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice.
