SCHIMINGS, Wayne Herbert

August 8, 1947 – December 27, 2021

Passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2021, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of 47 years to Phyllis (nee Coutu). Loving father of Michael (Trisha). Proud grandfather of Mia, Austin, Hayden, Chloe and Aria. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Stella (nee Chudoba) Schimings and his sister Darlene Coufal (Frank). Son-in-law of the late Blanche and late Joseph Coutu. Brother-in-law to the late Bruce (Rosanne) Coutu, late Don (late Audrey) Coutu, late Shirley (late Jim) Nolan, late Faye (late Bob) Wilson and Phil (Lorene) Coutu. Wayne had many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

As per Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.

Thank you to the Sault Area Hospital Renal Department and Cancer Clinic, Dr. Shafi, Dr. Berry, Dr. Hill and to the many doctors and nurses Wayne met along the way. A special thank you to Brandi for all her care in Wayne’s final days. Memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
