Passed away at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Loving husband of Gearleain. On September 7th Wib and Gearleain celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Dear father of Darla Malkki (Joe), Linda Wierzbicki (Dave) and Steven Schell (Heidi)(Kathleen). Cherished grandfather of Tom (Louisa), Cory, Paul (Sarah), Melinda (Shane), Pamela, Wil (Kim), Elizabeth (Rob), late Ralph, Christina, Christian and Melissa. Great grandfather of 7. Son of the late Thomas and Marguerite Schell of Kilworthy, Ontario. Son-in-law of the late Cecil and Ida Secord of Huntsville, Ontario. Brother of Madeline Ortwein (late Vern), Orvil Schell (Ursula), Mary Jones (Murray), Dorothy White (Jim), Muriel Jones (Dave) and Lloyd Schell (Donna), Brother-in-law of the late Leonard Secord(Geraldine) and the late Calvin Secord (Eileen). Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Bruce Cain officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at Bethel Bible Chapel. Memorial donations made to the Elk's Oncology Van, Northern Cancer Research Foundation - Daffodil Terrace or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. If there were family projects, Dad loved being in the centre of it all. He and mother were great supporters and cheerleaders. Wib and Gearleain enjoyed camping and were always willing to take family along to the delight of all. Wib was always in his element when in the great outdoors - fishing, hunting or just enjoying nature. Wib will be missed dearly by his family, friends and neighbour's. He enjoyed his years working in the automotive industry and operating 'Wib's Automotive' on Pim Street. Wib was always willing to help whenever needed. His smile, knowledge and laughter will be surely missed by all.
