Friday, November 14, 2008 - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of
Iola Santoro. Born March 28th, 1925 in Cleto, Calabria, Italy. Passed away
suddenly on Friday, November 14, 2008 in Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved wife of
Giuseppe Santoro. Dear mother of Eugene Santoro (Réjeanne), Mary Pino
(Vince), Carmela Gallo (Gino) and Silvana Iaconis (John). Loving grandmother
of Andrea, Aimee, Adrienne and Matthew Santoro, Alfie (Victoria), Chris
(Dora) and Teresa Pino, Joseph Gallo, Louie, Jason and Sarah Iaconis. Great-
grandmother of Andrea Pino. Daughter of the late Carmela Falsetto. Sister of
Mafalda Falsetto (late Settimio) and Nerina Perri (late Luigi) of Aiello,
Calabria, Italy. Sister-in-law of the late Antonio Santoro (Emilia) of
Argentina, Michele Santoro (late Gilda), late Salvatore Santoro (Luisa) of
Cleto, Italy, late Michelina Adamo (late Eugene), Teresa Cimino (Pasquale),
Emilia Santoro of Pisa, Italy and Ottavio Santoro (Maria). Iola will be
fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the
Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Sunday evening
from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Gregory's Church on Monday,
November 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Victor Amadio officiating.
Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations made to
the New Sault Area Hosiptal would be appreciated.
