Suddenly passed away at the General Site (SAH) on Saturday, June 27, 2009 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Joyce (Gagnon) for 53 years. Loving father of Gary (Tressia) and Randy. Grandfather of Xavier Eric Sandvik and special grandfather of Lauren Hocevar. Predeceased by his parents Axel and Vera Sandvik. Dear brother of Carl Sandvik and predeceased by Gunnar (Kay), Ruth Dupuis (late Joe), Einar (Fern) and James (late Margaret). Brother-in-law of Olive Jarrell (Joe), Barbara Boyer (Joseph), Lois Thomas (late Jim), Kenneth Gagnon (Leona), Allan Gagnon (Lana) and predeceased by Gail O’Donnell (late Charles), Ronald Gagnon, Velma Penley (late Gordon), Louise Fisher (late Chester), William Gagnon and Gerald Gagnon (Patricia). Eric will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the BARTON & KITELEY Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the ARTHUR FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Centre on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1 pm. Rev. Jouko Jurkama officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
