Passed away peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at the age of 78. Winifred (nee Kennedy) Sandlin, born in Belfast, Ireland in 1926. Daughter of Jean and Watson Kennedy. She was married in 1942 to Isaac “Jake” Sandlin who was serving in the United States Army. In 1981 they moved to Canada. Loving wife of the late Isaac “Jake” Sandlin. Cherished mother of Shirley Smith (Paul), Sylvia Nesbitt (Liam) and David (Joni). Beloved Granny of Paul (Sherri), Lorraine Ben (Rob), Martin (Brandee), David (Nanette), Layne (Amanda) and Jake. Great granny of Briar, McKenna, Nicolas Ben and Nicholas Lecompte. Survived by her sisters, Bell and Jean of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Beloved best friend of Betty Greenman. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Barton and Kiteley Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, October 22, 2004 from 11 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Renal Dialysis Unit or Plummer Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
