Peacefully at his home on Friday April 11, 2008 with his wife by his side after a courageous battle. Joe Salabsky at the age of 79 years. Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1929 to the late Bernard and Elizabeth Salabsky. Beloved husband of Evelyn (nee DiGasparro). Loving father of Mary Elizabeth Paradowski (Frank), David (Jean), Paul (Mary Anne) all of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Judi Anne Correnti (Sam) of Missouri. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Matthew (Caitlin), Laura, Geoff Correnti, Taran, Maria, Tim and David Salabsky. Dear brother of Bernadine Nastasee (Frank), Jean Dokoupil (late Jon), Elizabeth Bastian (Robert) and late Bernard J. Salabsky (Carol). Son-in-law of the late James and Laura DiGasparro. Dear brother-in-law of Betty DiGasparro, late Norma DiGasparro and Barby Derr (Skip). Special uncle of Laurie (Lonnie), Trumell, Zack, Michael, Paul, Susan (Corey), Luca, Christina and Todd. Joe will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at St. Jerome Church (26 Carmel Road) on Wednesday April 16, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Hamish Currie officiating.
