It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and Nonno, Angelo Saccucci on Saturday October 7, 2023, peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital surrounded by family. Two months from the age of 95 years, Angelo was still full of life and good-humor up until his last days.
Angelo’s family and friends will miss him dearly every day. He was a loving husband to Maria (née Battisti) for 65 years of marriage. Loving father to Frank (Carolyn) and Sergio (Janet). He was the proud Nonno of Janelle (Linden), Kevin, Brent (Jon), Morgan, and Steven (Jessica); and Great-Nonno to Nola. Angelo is the brother of Luigino Junior (Giovanna), and predeceased by Leocatia Campagna (Cesare), Alma Porcari (Giuseppe), Giuseppe (Orrestina), and Luigino Senior. Angelo was the dearest Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy in which he will be remembered fondly. We will cherish all the beautiful memories. His brother and sisters-in-law will dearly miss him.
Family and friends are invited to visit O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St. 705-759-8456) on Monday October 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Veronica’s Parish (559 Douglas St.) at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 24, 2023, with Father Peter Nwachukwu officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
