Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the age of 88 with his daughters at his side.

Loving father of Gwendolyn Burditt (Don) and Brenda Torquato (Pat).  Husband of the late Wilda Ryckman.  Proud grandfather of Janice Oldham (Andrew), Michelle Pritchett (John), Stephanie Bellini (Shane), Shannon Lethbridge (Jesse) and Zachary Torquato (Caroline).  Great grandfather (GG) of Russell, Carter, Josiah, Maisy, Leo, Nico, Everly and Jack.  Dear brother of the late Garfield Ryckman (Marie), and Robert Ryckman (Barb).  Son of the late David and Leonora Ryckman.  Special uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Very best friend of Alvin Buck.  Jerry will also be missed by his dedicated furry companion Joy.

Jerry was a true outdoorsman, spending many days at one of his favourite spots at Moose Lake.  He was a skilled musician, playing in the Steeltown Silver Band until his final days and was also a founding member of the Steelton (Gospel) Quartet.  Jerry was employed by the Sault Star Commercial Printing Department and went on to teach Graphic Arts at Alexander Henry High School for many years.  He was fun loving, soft hearted and will be remembered fondly by his many friends, neighbours and former students.  He will be missed "for sure".
