Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital General Site on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 lovingly surrounded by her deeply saddened family. Antanas’ beloved Irish Colleen, wife and best friend for 61 years. Cherished mother of James (Anne), Antanas Jr, Marija Liboiron (Ronald) and Maryte Running (Jim), she will be loved and greatly missed. Loving Grandma of Michael (Joyce), David and Kevin Rutkauskas (Mandy), Tony Rutkauskas (Tracey), France and Nicholas Liboiron and Kathleen, Sarah and Robert Running. Special Great Grandma of Kylee, Adley, Will and Taylor Rutkauskas. Mary was born in Tipperary, Ireland on November 28, 1927 to the late James and Mary King. She grew up in the Galtee Mountains and is a direct descendant of the O’Briens of Galtee Castle. Mary worked in England after the Second World War where she met “the most handsome young Lithuanian” named Antanas Rutkauskas, whom she would later marry. Here they had their four children. Through the years including the immigration to Canada, they raised four children, had nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mary adored them all. Mary is predeceased by her brothers James, Patrick, Cornelius and little Terrence King. Dear sister of Kathleen Burke (late Bryan), Josie Conroy (late Jimmy), Margaret Barrett, Robert and Terry King. Survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Ireland, England and the United States. A big thank you to all the wonderful nurses, ward clerks Laura and Robin and all the staff of 2Y at the General Hospital. To Dr. Maloney, Dr. Wild and Amber Plastino, thank you so much for all your wonderful help and support. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10 am.
