(Born in Sault Ste. Marie, May 15, 1926) – Peacefully surrounded by his family at the SAH, General Site on Monday, April 24, 2006 in his 80th year. Loving husband of Shirley for 59 years. Devoted father of Jim Russell (Meilin), Ann Mulkani (Andrew), Cathy Triplett (Brian) and Susan Richards (Dan). Loving grandfather of Liberty Hajek (Chris), Joshua and Devon Richards. Brother of Joyce Ross (late John). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Bob, Betty Huggard, Helen Thompson and John. Brother in law of Gerald Blundell (Nellie) and George Blundell (Sandy). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill was an active and generous member of the Sault Ste. Marie YMCA Men’s Club and Central United Church McDougall’s Club. A memorial service will be held at Central United Church on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 2 pm. Rev. Don McKay and Miss Aileen Hadden officiating. Reception to follow.
